This week marks the halfway point of the term, with 5 weeks to go. Term 4 is always so very busy and exciting, jam packed with events and some fun! We have been extremely fortunate to have a number of events already, such as Day for Daniel, Crazy Sock Day, Mini Fete, Bookfair, an Author visit, All Saints Mass and the Melbourne Cup Hat Parade to name just a few. It is wonderful to see students and staff connecting on these special occasions, this sense of community is part of what makes St. Clare’s such a special place. We will have a few more of these opportunities to gather on the horizon, with the swimming carnival and concert and end of year BBQ ahead.
Thank you to Adam and Fran from Livelife Pharmacy for their very generous donation. We have used it to purchase some giant outdoor games to be used during playtime. We look forward to the arrival of Jenga, Battleships and Scrabble.
The Swimming Carnival will be in Week 8, Friday 22nd November.
Our annual Mini Fete was once again a huge success. Thank you to Mrs Marsilio, Mrs Jenkins, Mrs Sollitt and our Year 6 superstars who put in so much time and preparation to make this thoroughly enjoyable event happen. At the final count, we have raised a whopping $1 820 for Catholic Mission. What an amazing achievement for our little school!
St Clare’s is once again supporting the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. We are asking children to bring in non-perishable, long lasting items that will be put towards making up hampers for less fortunate people in our community. Each class has been asked to bring in specific items up until the end of term. This is an opportunity to teach our children about the gift of giving and all donations are greatly appreciated.
