We have some more amazing extracurricular activities coming our way. Our teacher librarian, Mrs. Penny Irvine has been working extremely hard to put together Science Day for us. Penny was also successful in receiving a grant from the Queensland Government this year for increasing awareness around sustainability. The Year 5 & 6 classes have been working in partnership with some external organisations and taking a closer look at water quality in our area. This Thursday students from Year 5 & 6 will be visiting 3 different sites and later in the year will travel to the Great Barrier Reef to investigate the quality of water in our environment. This Friday, 16th August, is our Science Day! Students are welcome to come dressed up in any way related to Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
